Motorcyclist Killed in Lincoln Heights Crash on Griffin Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 22, 2022) – A crash killed a motorcyclist on Griffin Avenue in Lincoln Heights.
According to an article published by the FOX 11 News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7:30 a.m.
The incident happened when a 24-year-old man was riding a motorcycle south on Griffin Avenue in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
At the same time, a driver made a left turn in front of him. Police said in the process, the two collided in the 2800 block of the road.
The bike ended up pinned underneath the vehicle as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased motorcyclist has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the wreck.
Officers forced a stretch of Griffin Avenue to shut down for a time after the incident. The cause of the fatal Lincoln Heights crash is still under investigation.
