Solvang, CA (October 6, 2022) – Linda McIntyre died, and Charlotte Ann Buck suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on State Route Highway 246.

2-Car Accident in Solvang

The KEYT News reported 73-year-old McIntyre was driving a 2020 Honda CRV with a passenger–73-year-old Buck. Officials said the CRV collided with a 2016 Honda Accord in the area near Skytt Mesa Drive. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Accord made an unsafe turn and drove directly into the path of the CRV.

According to the article published online, the horrible crash took place Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews later arrived at the location and found the driver of the CRV unconscious. Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital, where she later sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office identified the fatal victim as Linda McIntyre.

Authorities added the passenger, Charlotte Ann Buck, sustained moderate injuries as a result of the wreck. Rescue teams also transported the patient to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened on Highway 246 in Solvang.
