LINDSAY, CA (January 14, 2022) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Avenue 208 and Road 216 in Lindsay.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Thursday morning. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at about 7:46 a.m.

The incident happened on January 13 when a white Nissan Murano blew a stop sign in Lindsay. In the process, the Nissan slammed into a white pickup truck at the intersection of Avenue 208 and Road 216.

CHP added that one of the cars involved struck a pole nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 65.

2 Cars Collide

They found an occupant of the pickup who complained of pain as a result of the collision. Medical personnel treated the victim for the unknown injuries they sustained in the  incident.

The report did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the three men riding the Murano abandoned their car and fled on foot.

Witnesses saw the suspects heading eastbound on Avenue 208 towards Highway 65 and into a citrus orchard. The cause of the Lindsay hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.

Officers forced the area of Avenue 208 and Road 216 to shut down following the wreck.
