Bicycle Rider Killed in Livermore Crash Near Mines and San Antonio Valley Roads
PLACER COUNTY, CA (February 6, 2022) – A crash killed a bicycle rider near Mines Road and San Antonio Valley Road in Livermore.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at about 2:34 p.m.
CHP said a silver Land Rover struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Livermore. The car hit the bicyclist near the intersection of Mines Road and San Antonio Valley Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the San Antonio Valley community. They then found the bicyclist down on the ground.
Medical personnel confirmed that the victim died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the cyclist. Officers forced the area of Mines and San Antonio Valley to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Livermore bicycle crash is still under investigation.
