At Least 1 Killed in Car Crash at Highway 99 and Cherokee Lane Wednesday
Lodi, CA (June 16, 2021) – One person died following a car accident that occurred in the area of Highway 99 and Cherokee Lane Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Central Valley TV News, a white SUV overturned for an unknown reason in the northbound side of the highway. The vehicle continued to veer off the roadway, and slammed into a tree near the Cherokee Lane offramp.
Primary reports indicated the collision happened at about 2:21 p.m.
Deadly Car Accident in Lodi, June 16
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found at least one person with life-threatening injuries. Authorities later confirmed the victim succumbed to their trauma and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the name of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Responding officers shut down the offramp to give way to the investigation process. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the deadly car accident on Highway 99 in Lodi happened.
