Passenger Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident Near Los Altos Avenue Saturday
Long Beach, CA (January 2, 2022) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a traffic collision that occurred on 7th Street on January 1, Saturday.
According to My News LA, 40-year-old Stephanie Moreno was behind the wheel of a 2008 Honda Civic heading east on 7th Street. When the car approached the intersection at Los Altos Avenue, the driver lost control and veered off the roadway.
Earlier reports indicated the sedan left the traffic lanes and slammed into a light pole. Officials added the Honda also struck two parked cars in the area.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the passenger in the Honda Civic with minor injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim and eventually released them.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned Stephanie Moreno, of Long Beach, sadly died as a result of the wreck.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning to investigate several factors surrounding the deadly car crash in Long Beach.
