LOS ANGELES, CA (December 10, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the 170 Freeway in Los Angeles.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 7:50 p.m.

CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason near the Valley Village and North Hollywood neighborhoods in Los Angeles. They crashed on the southbound side of the 170 Freeway.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene, near Magnolia Boulevard and Riverside Drive. They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. CHP did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, officers forced the southbound lanes of the 170 Freeway to shut down near Magnolia and Riverside following the wreck. The report added that CHP detained a driver involved.

The cause of the Los Angeles crash is still under investigation.
