Pedestrian Injured in Los Angeles County Hit-and-Run Crash at Rosecrans and Aviation
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA (February 8, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Rosecrans Avenue and Aviation Boulevard in Los Angeles County.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Monday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 7:26 p.m.
The incident happened on February 7 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Los Angeles County. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Aviation Boulevard.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Manhattan Beach and El Segundo. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and then fled the area toward the 405 Freeway. They described the car as a black coupe with plate number 8WMX026.
Officers forced the corner of Rosecrans and Aviation to shut down for a time following the collision. The cause of the Los Angeles County hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
