1 Killed in Los Angeles Crash on 405 Freeway at Wilshire Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 11, 2022) – At least one was killed after a car crash on the 405 Freeway and Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place late Monday night. Officers reported the wreck at around 10:45 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason near the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. The cars crashed on the southbound 405 Freeway at Wilshire Boulevard.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Santa Monica Boulevard. They confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt upon impact.
Meanwhile, officers forced the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway to shut down near Wilshire for hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Los Angeles crash is still under investigation.
