Man Killed in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run at Normandie Avenue and 212th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 8, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian at Normandie Avenue and 212th Street in South Los Angeles.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 7:10 a.m.
The incident happened on February 6 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in in South Los Angeles. The driver hit him at the intersection of Normandie Avenue and 212th Street.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the man in his 40s left lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Normandie Avenue and 212th Street to shut down following the collision.
