1 Injured in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash on 10 Freeway Near Pico
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 18, 2022) – At least one person was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 10 Freeway near Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 7:50 a.m.
The accident happened on January 17 when a red sedan spun out of control for an unknown reason on the northbound 10 Freeway in Los Angeles.
2 Cars Collide
CHP said in the process, the car slammed into a gray Acura just south of Pico Boulevard. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found an occupant of the Acura who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver who lost control did not stop to help and fled the area.
They described the suspect car as possibly a Honda. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down near Pico following the wreck.
The cause of the Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
