At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Santa Monica Freeway Thursday
Los Angeles, CA (January 4, 2022) – On December 30, Thursday, a suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 10 near Hoover Street.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided with each other in the westbound side of I-10, also known as Santa Monica Freeway. Officials briefly described the cars involved in the wreck as a Jeep, and a Nissan Quest.
Shortly after 12:20 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the Nissan disabled in the area near Hoover Street in Los Angeles. Paramedics checked the conditions of all the occupants in the Nissan. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim, and the extent of their trauma have not been discussed thus far.

The CHP log mentioned the drive of the Jeep failed to pull over, and fled the scene before police arrived. Given that, detectives continue to work to determine the identity and location of the hit-and-run suspect.
