At Least 1 Hurt in Collision Near Indiana Street Friday
Los Angeles, CA (December 20, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 5, also known as Santa Ana Freeway, on December 17.
The California Highway Patrol group reported multiple vehicles collided on the southbound lanes of the freeway in Los Angeles. Initial records indicated the accident took place near the crossing at Indiana Street.
CHP logged the incident shortly before 10:30 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found only two cars. Officials described the vehicles that stayed at the scene as a black Ford Excursion, and a white Acura. Responding medical personnel rendered aid to all possible victims in the crash. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck.
Personal information on the victims remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, the CHP log mentioned a third vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the injury car crash on Interstate 5 in Los Angeles is ongoing.
