5 Injured in Los Angeles International Airport Plane and Bus Crash

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 11, 2023) – Several were injured after a plane and shuttle bus crash at the Los Angeles International Airport.

According to the KTLA News and NBC Los Angeles, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck on February 10 at around 10 p.m.

The incident happened when a shuttle bus and a tug pulling a plane for maintenance crashed at the Los Angeles International Airport for an unknown reason.

The American Airlines jet, Airbus A321, was being towed from an airport gate to a parking area when it collided with the bus.

Firefighters arrived and found a total of five people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Paramedics rushed four of them to a hospital and listed one victim, the tug driver, in moderate condition.

LAFD listed the other three, the bus driver and two passengers in fair condition. Medical personnel at the scene treated the fifth patient, a worker on the plane, who then declined transport.

The reports did not disclose the names of all the wounded parties. Meanwhile, officers added that operations at the Los Angeles International Airport remained normal following the wreck.

The cause of the plane and bus crash is still under investigation.
