Man Seriously Injured in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash at 73rd and Figueroa Streets
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 4, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash seriously injured a pedestrian at 73rd and Figueroa streets in Los Angeles.
According to the NBC Los Angeles and FOX 11 News, the accident took place late last month. Officers reported the collision on January 27.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Los Angeles. The driver hit him at the intersection of 73rd and Figueroa streets.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the man, possibly in his 50s or 60s, left lying on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
The reports described the man, as a black, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has gray-and-black hair and brown eyes. Meanwhile, the motorist did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the corner of 73rd and Figueroa streets to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
