1 Seriously Injured in Los Molinos Crash at Highway 99 and Sherman Street
LOS MOLINOS, CA (September 11, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Highway 99 and Sherman Street in Los Molinos.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place late Saturday night. Officers reported the accident shortly before 11 p.m.
The incident began when a pickup truck was traveling at erratic speeds in the area. Its driver then crossed over the double yellow line and struck several other cars.
The vehicles crashed on Highway 99 at the intersection with Sherman Street in Los Molinos.
DUI Factor in Car Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found multiple patients hurt. CHO confirmed that one victim sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the patients to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced Highway 99 at Sherman to shut down for hours following the wreck. Officers believed that the motorist in the pickup was under the influence when the collision occurred.
The Los Molinos crash is still under investigation.
