4 Injured in Los Molinos Crash at Highway 99 and 7th Avenue
TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (May 22, 2021) – A car crash seriously injured at least one person at Highway 99 and 7th Avenue in Los Molinos.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:35 p.m.
CHP said multiple vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the area of Los Molinos. They crashed on Highway 99 at the intersection with 7th Avenue.
Multi-Car Collision in Tehama County
A Ford pickup truck went off the road as a result of the collision. One of the cars involved sustained major damage due to the impact of the crash.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage. They attended to at least four people who ended up hurt following the accident.
Medical personnel then took one party to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report mention that the other patients sustained minor wounds.
The names of the wounded individuals and their condition were not released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the intersection of Highway 99 and 7th Avenue to close for an hour and a half after the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Los Molinos crash.
