1 Killed in Lost Hills Crash on Highway 33 Near Lerdo Highway
LOST HILLS, CA (March 12, 2022) – At least one was killed after a head-on crash on Highway 33 near Lerdo Highway in Lost Hills.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 5 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Lost Hills. They crashed on Highway 33, just north of Lerdo Highway.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a black Toyota Tundra pickup truck and a black 4-door sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 33 to shut down for several hours near Lerdo following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Lost Hills crash is still under investigation.
