Drunk Driver Fatally Hits Pedestrian at Rose Avenue and Tiesa Lane
Oxnard, CA (July 20, 2022) – Police arrested 20-year-old Luis Ayala in relation with a deadly DUI crash that occurred in the area of Rose Avenue and Tiesa Lane.
According to KEYT News, Ayala was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling in the streets of Oxnard early Sunday morning. Earlier reports indicated the car drove through the intersection of Rose and Tiesa, and struck a pedestrian.
The horrible crash took place at about 3:30 a.m.
Emergency crews arrived at the location and immediately rendered aid to the person found lying on the ground. Despite life-saving measures, the victim sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Oxnard
The article published online mentioned Luis Ayala fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian. Responding police officer located the hit-and-run suspect not too far from the crash site. Police then arrested Ayala for the charges of felony gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated with an enhancement of fleeing the scene of an accident involving death.
Further investigation is ongoing on the fatal DUI pedestrian accident that happened at Rose Avenue and Tiesa Lane.
