Luis Vega, 31, Killed in Canyon Country Crash on Soledad Canyon Road
SANTA CLARITA, CA (June 18, 2021) – A car crash killed Luis Vega on Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.
The Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office identified the 31-year-old Canyon Country man as the victim of the fatal wreck on Thursday evening.
Deputies said Luis Vega was riding one of the three vehicles that collided in the 17600 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.
Multiple Vehicles Collide Near Canyon County Park
The accident took place near the Canyon Country Park and the College of the Canyons. Officers reported the collision on June 17 shortly just before 6 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then pronounced Luis Vega dead at the scene. The Signal and CBS Los Angeles wrote that one person was trapped in the wreckage as a result of the crash.
Meanwhile, another individual sustained unspecified injuries upon impact. Medical personnel took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Officials forced Soledad Canyon to close between River Circle and Lost Canyon Road following the collision. The cause of the fatal Canyon Country crash is still under investigation.
