1 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Imperial Highway
Lynwood, CA (June 1, 2023) – At least one person died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Long Beach (710) Freeway and Imperial Highway, according to My News LA.
Earlier reports indicated multiple vehicles collided in the southbound side of Long Beach (710) Freeway Thursday, June 1. The article published online mentioned a black Jeep veered off the traffic lanes and crashed into the center divider of the highway. Officials said the Jeep then spun uncontrollably and hit several other cars, including a silver Mini Cooper.
Deadly Traffic Accident in Lynwood
During the crash, one person was ejected onto the roadway. Rescue teams arrived at the location shortly after 1:15 a.m. and immediately rendered aid to the victim found lying on the ground. Despite life-saving efforts performed by paramedics, the man sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. Given that, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened at Long Beach (710) Freeway and Imperial Highway in Lynwood.
