Officer Hit, Dragged by Vehicle at Center and Sonora Street
Stockton, CA (June 19, 2022) – Police arrested 28-year-old Macee Myers following an injury traffic collision that occurred in the area of Center and Sonora Street.
The ABC10 and KCRA News reported a California Highway Patrol officer was conducting a DUI traffic stop at the intersection in downtown Stockton. Earlier reports indicated Myers failed to yield to the officer and attempted to drive away from the DUI traffic stop.
According to the article published online, Myers struck and dragged the deputy with her car. Responding paramedics later found the CHP officer suffering in injuries. Medical personnel rendered aid to the victim; but it remained unclear if the officer was transferred to a hospital for further treatment.

Authorities mentioned Myers showed signs of intoxication during the arrest. Police apparently used force to take the suspect into custody, then booked her into San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of obstructing or resisting a public officer; assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer with great bodily injury; and felony DUI-alcohol.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the crash at Center and Sonora Street.
