1 Seriously Injured in Madera Crash at Avenue 20 and Road 20 1/2
MADERA, CA (December 2, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash at Avenue 20 and Road 20 1/2 in Madera.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly after 12:30 p.m.
A semi-truck and a Ford F-150 pickup truck collided for an unknown reason in Madera. They crashed at the intersection of Avenue 20 and Road 20 1/2.
Car and Semi-Truck Collide
The incident log added that the Ford pickup obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They then extricated the trapped driver of the car from the wreckage. The rescued occupant ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Avenue 20 and Road 20 1/2 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Madera crash is still under investigation.
