Woman Killed in Head-On Collision on Avenue 9 Near Road 33 Wednesday
Madera County, CA (July 7, 2021) – One person died, and several other suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred on Avenue 9 Wednesday afternoon.
The ABC30 News reported the catastrophic incident took place just before 5 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Toyota Tacoma was heading west on Avenue 9; when for an unknown reason, the driver yanked his wheel to the left. In the process, the Toyota struck a car traveling ahead. The force from the impact pushed the second car to slam the vehicle in front of it.
According to the article published online, the Toyota ended up veering into the eastbound lanes. It eventually crashed head-on into a Nissan driven by a female party.
Drivers Injured in Madera County Car Crash, July 7
Responding paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victim, but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, authorities added the other drivers involved in the wreck only sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.
Further investigation on the fatal car crash on Avenue 9 in Madera is ongoing.
