1 Killed in Car Crash on Jurupa Avenue Friday
Fontana, CA (November 27, 2021) – On November 26, 68-year-old Malcolm Erbst died following a traffic collision that occurred on Jurupa Avenue.
The Fontana Herald News reported an American Medical Response ambulance collided with a pickup truck in southern Fontana Friday morning. Initial records indicated the crash took place in the 13000 block of Jurupa Avenue.
Shortly after 10:19 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found the ambulance with significant damage due to the force from the impact. On the other hand, the pickup truck reportedly rolled over on the roadway and came to a rest back on its wheels.
Responding emergency crews rendered aid to the driver of the pickup, later identified as Malcolm Erbst of Apple Valley. Medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died.
Paramedics Injured in Fontana Traffic Accident, November 26
Authorities added paramedics on board the American Medical Response ambulance sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Pending confirmation, the names of the injured parties and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
