Cyclist Injured in Collision Near Sycamore Canyon Road Friday
Malibu, CA (October 2, 2021) – A bicycle rider suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash on State Route 1, also known as Pacific Coast Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle struck a bicyclist on SR-1 near Sycamore Canyon Road. The collision took place at approximately 1 p.m.
Responding emergency crews found the bicyclist with injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, then later called an ambulance to transfer the patient to the hospital. The name of the injured bicycle rider, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Hit-and-Run Crash in Malibu, October 1
The CHP log mentioned the black vehicle involved in the accident continued driving south on the Pacific Coast Highway. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run driver.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the name and location of the suspect in the Malibu hit-and-run crash.
