Man in Wheelchair Injured in Canyon Country Parking Lot Hit-and-Run Crash
CANYON COUNTRY, CA (October 19, 2021) – A man in a wheelchair was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash in a Canyon Country parking lot.
According to an article published by The Signal, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision shortly before 10:45 a.m.
The incident happened when for an unknown reason a truck hit the man in a wheelchair in the Bank of America parking lot in Canyon Country.
Victim Hit by Truck
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said driver struck him near the intersection of Soledad Canyon and Whites Canyon roads. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the victim left suffering from unspecified injuries as a result of the collision. They took him to the hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded patient and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced the intersection of Soledad Canyon and Whites Canyon to shut down following the crash. The Canyon Country hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
