Manuel Pantoja, 49, Hospitalized After Car Accident Near Sunset Boulevard Thursday
Arvin, CA (April 16, 2021) – 49-year-old Manuel Pantoja, of Arvin, suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Comanche Drive Thursday afternoon.
On April 15, Manuel Pantoja was behind the wheel of a 2004 Chevy Suburban traveling in Arvin. Officials said the Suburban was stopped on the right shoulder of southbound Comanche Drive before the driver attempted to make a U-turn. In the process, the Suburban towing a utility trailer drove into the path of an oncoming motorcyclist.
Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Arvin, April 15
The Bakersfield.com reported the man riding a 2010 Kawasaki EX250J crashed into the driver’s side of the Suburban. Shortly after 1:45 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found the motorcycle operator ejected from his bike. Paramedics rushed the man to the hospital but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died.
Meanwhile, the news article indicated Manuel Pantoja sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the wreck. An ambulance transported the patient to Kern Medical for treatment.
The precise cause of the fatal car and motorcycle accident in Arvin remained undisclosed. For this reason, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly what happened here and why.
