Marcos Enriquez, 29, ID’d as Suspect in Upland DUI Crash on Campus Avenue
UPLAND, CA (May 4, 2022) – Authorities detained Marcos Enriquez after a fatal DUI crash on Campus Avenue in Upland.
Police determined that the 29-year-old man was under the influence when the wreck took place on Tuesday night.
The incident began when Marcos Enriquez was traveling at a high rate of speed on Campus Avenue, just south of Foothill Boulevard, in Upland.
1 Killed in Wreck
Police said he then slammed into another car. The Sun wrote that the driver of the second vehicle died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. The accident occurred on May 3 at around 11:43 p.m.
Meanwhile, police soon arrested Marcos Enriquez on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI following the crash.
Officers forced the area of Campus Avenue to shut down between Mesa Court and Foothill Boulevard for several hours after the wreck. The Upland DUI crash is still under investigation.
