Margarito Trinidad, David Massaro and Lauren Barrett Injured in Napa County Crash
NAPA COUNTY, CA (July 7, 2022) – Margarito Trinidad, David Massaro and Lauren Barrett were seriously injured after a crash on the Silverado Trail in Napa County.
The Napa Valley Register wrote that the accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck about 3:25 p.m., east of Yountville.
The incident happened on July 6 when Margarito Trinidad, 47, of Napa pulled his 2002 Honda out of a driveway on the Silverado Trail.
At the same time, David Massaro and Lauren Barrett were traveling in a 2014 Volkswagen heading south. The Honda then entered the path of the Volkswagen with the two Sebastopol occupants.
2 Cars Collide
In the process, the Volkswagen hit the left side of the Honda. The California Highway Patrol said the two cars crashed south of Wapoo Hill Road.
The driver of the Volkswagen, 34-year-old David Massaro; his 31-year-old passenger, Lauren Barrett, and Margarito Trinidad sustained major injuries as a result of the crash.
Paramedics rushed all three patients to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of the Silverado Trail to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Napa crash is still under investigation.
