Car Accident Kills Passenger Near Holt Avenue
Covina, CA (May 9, 2022) – Mariah Beltran, a 25-year-old San Bernardino resident, died following a car accident that occurred on Interstate 10 Saturday.
According to My News LA, Beltran was a passenger in a 2006 Saturn Vue traveling west on I-10, also known as Santa Monica Freeway.
Earlier reports indicated the driver of the Saturn lost control of the car. Subsequently, the Saturn collided with a 2018 Honda Accord in the area east of Holt Avenue.

When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found a female passenger unconscious in the Saturn. Paramedics then rushed the victim to Pomona Valley Hospital, where she later sadly died. Authorities later identified the deceased as Mariah Beltran.
Authorities added the driver of the Saturn, and the driver of the Honda both sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Personal information on the injured parties remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the collision on Santa Monica (10) Freeway in Covina.
