Major Injury Collision on I-580
Marin, CA (June 11, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Interstate 580, also known as Arthur H. Breed Jr. Freeway.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Crash in Marin
The California Highway Patrol group reported a man riding a motorcycle collided with a gray Nissan SUV in the eastbound side of I-580. CHP logged the incident at about 11:14 a.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist was attempting to turn around on the freeway before the crash happened.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the motorbike down on the ground. Meanwhile, the Nissan ended up with major front-end damage due to the force from the impact.
Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the crash. After the evaluation, officers determined one person sustained major trauma as a result of the wreck.
Detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the traffic accident happened on Interstate 580 in Marin.
