Martina Flores Critically Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run at Elm and California Avenues
FRESNO, CA (June 22, 2021) – Martina Flores was critically injured after a hit-and-run crash at Elm Avenue and Geneva Avenue in Fresno.
The incident began when Martina Flores was walking across the intersection of Elm and Geneva avenues in Fresno. At the same time, a vehicle was going south.
Fresno police said for an unknown reason, the driver hit her. Firefighters along with the paramedics found the pedestrian left suffering from severe head injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel rushed her to the Community Regional Medical Center and listed her in critical condition. Martina Flores remained in the ICU and on life support as of Tuesday night.
Friends set up a GoFundMe page to collect monetary funds to bring her back to her family in Mexico. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman.
The suspect then fled southbound on B Street. Officials described the car as a white 4-door Kia. Authorities are still searching for the driver.
