Pickup Truck Strikes, Kills Woman Near Solimar Beach
Ventura, CA (August 11, 2022) – Mary Centeno, a 68-year-old Ventura resident, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Pacific Coast Highway.
The Ventura County Star News reported Centeno was walking in the area near Solimar Beach Wednesday morning. For reasons still unclear, a passing pickup truck hit the woman on Pacific Coast Highway.
Shortly after 9:20 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the victim found suffering in injuries. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the fatal victim as Mary Centeno, of Ventura.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura
According to the article published online, the driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed at the scene. The motorist appeared unharmed after the crash.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate liability in the deadly accident that happened on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura.
