Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Marysville Crash at Highway 20 and Loma Rica
MARYSVILLE, CA (May 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at Highway 20 and Loma Rica Road in Marysville.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 3 p.m.
A black Toyota pickup truck and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in Marysville. The two crashed on westbound Highway 20 at the intersection with Loma Rica Road.

CHP said the pickup truck sustained moderate front-end damage due to the impact. Firefighters along with the soon paramedics responded to the scene near Woodruff Lane.
Medical personnel then found the motorcyclist down on the ground as a result of the collision. They took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Toyota sustained any wound or if they stopped after the incident.
Officers forced the westbound lanes of Highway 20 at Loma Rica to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Marysville crash.
