1 Hurt in Collision on State Farm Drive
Rohnert Park, CA (October 12, 2022) – Police arrested 31-year-old Matthew Lyons following a suspected DUI crash that occurred on State Farm Drive.
According to the Press Democrat, two vehicles collided Tuesday night in Rohnert Park. Earlier reports indicated the wreck involved a white Subaru sedan and a gray Subaru sedan. Due to the force from the impact, both cars flipped on their side.
The article published online mentioned a 57-year-old woman ended up trapped inside the wreckage. Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after 8:35 p.m., and immediately worked to extricate the victim. Our sources mentioned the woman, a Santa Rosa resident, suffered moderate injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance transported the woman to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, investigators determined one of the drivers was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Police eventually arrested the suspect, Matthew Lyons of Healdsburg. Officers took the man into custody on suspicion of two felony counts, DUI resulting in bodily injury and DUI resulting in bodily injury.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
