2 Injured in McFarland Crash on Southbound Highway 99 at Whisler Road
MCFARLAND, CA (May 11, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 99 at the Whisler Road off-ramp in McFarland.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Tuesday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck shortly after 4:30 p.m.
Two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the area of McFarland. They crashed on southbound Highway 99 at the Whisler Road off-ramp.
Car Collision at McFarland Off-Ramp
CHP described the cars involved as a silver Honda Accord and a red Chevrolet Silverado. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Medical personnel then found two people who complained of pain as a result of the collision. They took both patients to the Delano Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced southbound Highway 99 at Whisler to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the McFarland crash.
