1 Injured in McHenry Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 219 and Tully Road
MCHENRY, CA (September 18, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person at Highway 219 and Tully Road in McHenry.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Saturday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 8:39 p.m.
CHP said four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the McHenry community. They crashed on Highway 219 at the intersection with Tully Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the city of Modesto. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and fled northbound on Tully Road, north of Highway 219.
Officers described the car as a black Lincoln SUV which obtained major front-end damage following the collision. The McHenry hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
