Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman Near Trumble Road Tuesday
Menifee, CA (January 12, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 74 Tuesday, according to My News LA.
Earlier reports indicated a vehicle struck a female party on the highway near Trumble Road. The horrible crash took place Tuesday at approximately 9:20 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian attempted to cross SR-74 at an unmarked crosswalk. The driver involved in the collision apparently tried to swerve but was unable to avoid hitting the woman.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediate rendered aid to the pedestrian found with injuries. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities mentioned Chris Kornacki, the driver, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly accident on Highway 74 in Menifee.
