1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Collision at Bear Creek Drive and Glen Avenue
Merced, CA (July 16, 2022) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of South Bear Creek Drive and Glen Avenue.
According to Merced Sun-Star News, two men were riding on a motorcycle traveling in the streets of Merced Saturday evening. For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the motorbike collided into a parked car near the intersection of South Bear Creek Drive and Glen Avenue. The catastrophic incident took place at about 6:38 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately aid to the two male parties suffering in injuries. The article published online mentioned one man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, where he later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Officials only identified the deceased as a 34-year-old male.
Authorities added the other rider, a 27-year-old man, suffered serious trauma. Medical personnel transported him to a local trauma center where he was listed in stable condition.

Merced police mentioned alcohol possibly played a role in the unfortunate event. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly crash at Bear Creek Drive and Glen Avenue in Merced.
