Woman Hit and Injured by Vehicle at 16th and Q Street Tuesday
Merced, CA (May 19, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a traffic accident in the area of 16th and Q Street, the Merced Sun-Star reported.
On May 18, Tuesday, a vehicle struck a female party at the Merced intersection. The make and model of the car involved in the crash have not been revealed thus far.
First responders found the woman lying in the roadway. Paramedics checked the condition of the pedestrian, and later confirmed she sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.

Due to the condition of the victim, an ambulance rushed the woman to an area hospital for treatment. The name of the patient, and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly what happened here and why.
