Woman Badly Injured in Merced Hit-and-Run Crash Near 11th Street and S Street
MERCED, CA (August 30, 2021) – A pedestrian was badly injured after a hit-and-run crash at 11th Street and S Street in Merced.
According to an article published by The Merced Sun Star, the accident occurred late Sunday night. Officers reported the collision at about 11:15 p.m.
The incident happened on August 29 when a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit her near the intersection of 11th Street and S Street.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the woman left lying on the ground. She sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.

An air ambulance then took the victim to a Modesto hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. They described the suspect vehicle as a black colored truck.
Officers forced the intersection of 11th Street and S Street to close following the collision. The Merced hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
