Micah Jason Howard, 40, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Highway 99 Monday
Bakersfield, CA (June 2, 2021) – Micah Jason Howard, a 40-year-old pedestrian, died following a traffic accident on Highway 99, according to KGET News.
On May 31, Monday, a pedestrian reportedly ran onto the highway for an unknown reason. In the area near California Avenue, several vehicles struck the male party. The horrible crash happened at approximately 11 p.m. in Central Bakersfield.

When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died. The Kern County coroner’s office identified the deceased as Micah Jason Howard.
Authorities described a car involved in the unfortunate event as a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The man behind the wheel of the Cherokee, and the other drivers stopped at the site following the collision.
At this time, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 99 in Bakersfield.
