
1 Killed, 1 Badly Hurt in Collision at Avenue 184 and Road 208
Porterville, CA (May 22, 2023) – Michael Betzinger, a 65-year-old man, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Avenue 184 and Road 208.
2-Vehicle Accident in Porterville
According to Your Central Valley, two vehicles crashed into each other at the intersection in Porterville. Earlier reports indicated Betzinger, of Visalia, was behind the wheel of a white 2019 Ram 1500 pickup heading north on Road 208. When the Ram approached the crossing at Avenue 184, a gray 2002 Ford F150 pickup heading west on the avenue failed to stop for the posted stop sign and slammed into the Ram.
The force from the impact resulted in major damage to both vehicles. Officials said the catastrophic incident took place on May 19, Friday, around 3:57 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the two drivers suffering in unspecified injuries. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victims, then rushed them to Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville. The article published online mentioned the driver of the Ford sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away.
Meanwhile, Michael Betzinger continue to received medical care. Additional details on the condition of the Ram driver at this time have not been discussed thus far.
