Michael Perales, 39, Badly Injured in Stanislaus County Crash on Santa Fe Avenue
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (April 28, 2021) – A fatal crash badly injured Michael Perales on Santa Fe Avenue in Stanislaus County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 39-year-old Turlock man as the victim of the wreck which occurred on Wednesday morning.
The incident began when Michael Perales was driving a 2017 Dodge Ram flatbed truck north on Santa Fe Avenue in Stanislaus County. At the same time, a 2011 Chevrolet SUV was going south.
CHP said for an unknown reason, the Chevrolet veered into the northbound lane and slammed head-on into the flatbed truck. The two collided south of East Keyes Road.
Woman and Teen Killed in Head-On Collision
Firefighters responded to the scene and soon found both vehicles on the east shoulder of the roadway. The SUV sustained major damage as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took Michael Perales to Doctors Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries. The Modesto Bee and Turlock Journal reported that the accident happened shortly before 8 a.m.
Paramedics rushed the two occupants of the SUV to the Memorial Medical Center in Modesto where they died. CHP described them as a 48-year-old woman and her passenger, 16-year-old girl.
Officers added that both deceased parties were residents of Denair. Meanwhile, the cause of the Stanislaus County crash is still under investigation.
