Michael Williams, 44, Killed in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash Near Olive and Maple
FRESNO, CA (February 8, 2022) – Michael Williams was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Olive and Maple avenues in Fresno.
The coroner’s office identified the 44-year-old Fresno man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Tuesday.
The incident happened when a white truck hit him Michael Williams for an unknown reason in the city of Fresno. Police said for an unknown reason, the vehicle struck him near Olive and Maple avenues.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Driver Hits Man, Flees Scene
Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to a hospital, where he died. The FOX 26 News and Your Central Valley wrote the accident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. near Cedar Avenue and Rowell Avenue.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the truck did not stop to render aid to the man. The motorist fled eastbound on Olive Avenue toward Maple.
Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Michael Williams in the roadway. The cause of the Fresno hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
