1 Killed in Milford Crash at US Highway 395 and Wran Road
MILFORD, CA (May 15, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person at US Highway 395 and Wran Road in Milford.
The California Highway Patrol said the tragic accident took place late Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:11 a.m.
The incident began when a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Milford. The speeding driver then slammed into another car at the intersection of Highway 395 and Wran Road.
2 Cars Collide
The dispatch described the cars as a white Toyota Highlander and a white Toyota Camry. One of them went off the road upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon extricated one trapped occupant from the wreckage. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the wreck.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Highway 395 and Wran Road to shut down for a time after the incident. The cause of the fatal Milford crash is still under investigation.
