MILPITAS, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2023) — A car versus motorcycle crash happened in Milpitas on the Interstate 880 Freeway on Wednesday, just south of the Dixon Landing Road off ramp.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 11 a.m. in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the northbound I-880, just north of San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown at this time what led to the two vehicles colliding on this Santa Clara County freeway. The rider and a yellow Ducati motorcycle were down in the roadway. CHP officers closed down the Nos. 1 to 4 lanes and issued a SigAlert due to the collision around 11:02 a.m., the report said.
Paramedics responded to help the injured, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, a tow truck came to remove the damaged motorcycle.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 880 Freeway in Milpitas.
