2 Killed in Car Accident Near Sea World Drive Wednesday
Mission Bay, CA (April 21, 2021) – Two people died following a solo-car crash on Sea World Way Wednesday evening, the FOX5 News reported.
Officials said a pickup truck with four occupants slammed into a pole near Sea World Drive. The catastrophic incident took place shortly before 9:30 p.m.
Deadly Car Crash in Mission Bay, April 21
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found all four occupants trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters at the scene worked extensively to extricate the victims. Per news article published online, a 19-year-old male and a 19-year-old female both sadly suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Police continue to withhold the names of the deceased parties pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the names of the two other occupants in the pickup truck and their condition after the collision remained undisclosed.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the fatal car crash in Mission Bay.
