1 Badly Injured in Mission Hills Crash on Northbound 5 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 15, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on the 5 Freeway on the Mission Hills neighborhood.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received a call about the accident on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:39 p.m.
LAFD said a big rig, a sedan and three other vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed in the northbound lanes of the Freeway near Van Nuys Boulevard in Mission Hills.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated an occupant of the sedan from the wreckage. The victim sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The people riding the other vehicles involved ended up with minor wounds.
Officials did not release the names of the patients and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the northbound 5 Freeway to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Mission Hills crash.
